Proverbs 13:10 KJV – “Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.”
As a Christian minister, I am constantly reminded of the importance of wisdom and humility in our daily lives. Proverbs 13:10 KJV teaches us that pride is the root cause of contention and conflict. When we allow pride to govern our hearts and actions, we create unnecessary strife and division. However, when we seek wisdom and guidance from God, we are able to navigate through life’s challenges with grace and humility.
In today’s world, it is easy to get caught up in the pursuit of success and recognition. We are bombarded with messages that tell us we must always be striving for more, never settling for where we are. While ambition and drive are important qualities, they must be tempered with humility and a willingness to seek counsel from others.
Proverbs 13:10 KJV reminds us that those who are well advised are the ones who possess true wisdom. When we humble ourselves and seek guidance from those who are wiser and more experienced than us, we are able to make better decisions and avoid unnecessary conflict. Pride blinds us to our own faults and weaknesses, while humility allows us to see ourselves truthfully and seek improvement.
In our relationships with others, it is important to approach each interaction with humility and a willingness to listen. When we are quick to defend our own opinions and beliefs without considering the perspectives of others, we create an environment of contention and discord. However, when we are open to hearing different viewpoints and seeking common ground, we are able to build stronger and more meaningful connections with those around us.
As a minister, I have seen firsthand the destructive power of pride in the lives of individuals and communities. When we allow our egos to dictate our actions, we alienate ourselves from others and create barriers to communication and understanding. However, when we approach each situation with a spirit of humility and a willingness to learn from others, we are able to foster unity and harmony.
Proverbs 13:10 KJV – “Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.”
In our own personal lives, it is important to constantly examine our motives and intentions. Are we acting out of pride and selfish ambition, or are we seeking to serve others and honor God with our actions? When we approach each day with a spirit of humility and a desire to learn and grow, we are able to experience true fulfillment and peace.
As we navigate the challenges and trials of life, let us keep Proverbs 13:10 KJV close to our hearts. Let us remember that pride only leads to contention and conflict, while wisdom and humility bring about unity and understanding. May we seek counsel from those who are wiser than us, and approach each situation with a spirit of humility and grace.
