You make springs gush forth in the valleys; they flow between the hills.
Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes
the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.
“But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen! Thus says the Lord who made you,
who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit
upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They shall spring up among the grass
like willows by flowing”
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born,
and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill,
and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.
For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up,
so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.
They waited for me as for the rain, and they opened their mouths as for the spring rain.

ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.
Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water?
But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not,
for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire
you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel,
your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.
Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you…”
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow:
they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Though he may flourish among his brothers, the east wind, the wind of the Lord, shall come,
rising from the wilderness, and his fountain shall dry up; his spring shall be parched;
it shall strip his treasury of every precious thing.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born,
and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn,
and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace,
and a time to refrain from embracing…

He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money
for that
which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me,
and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear, and come to me; hear,
that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.
Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples. Behold,
